A Fascinating Experience 

One of the most fascinating aspects of the Knouff Lake Resort, and totally unexpected for most visitors, is the beautiful hand-crafted log building that serves as the Store, Lodge, and Office. In fact, people have actually driven all the way from the southern B.C. simply to spend a couple of hours browsing through all the unique and unusual gifts and displays. This is not something you would ever dream of seeing in a wilderness setting. In fact you would have to go a long way to find anything remotely similar...

The first thing to welcome you when you walk through the doors are the brilliant orange flames from the warm and cozy Napoleon wood stove. In addition to all the typical supplies normally found in average camping resorts, you are going to discover a huge selection of the most beautiful, unique and unusual gifts found anywhere.... from jewelry, artwork, stonework, native crafts, animal displays, and clothing. There are literally hundreds of unique items and gifts.

You are going to have to see it to believe it!

Once you're done browsing, (if you can stop long enough)... take a few minutes or even an hour to sit around outside the Lodge under the covered roof on one of the comfortable chairs and enjoy a cup of coffee. Listen to the sounds of the birds, or the laughter of the children, or the warm sun reflecting off the water. It's an experience you won't soon forget... and if you're lucky you might even get a close-up look at our resident eagles soaring above the water searching for their favorite meal. Often you will find them perched in the treetops a few yards away... studying us humans.
