Free Fishing for the Entire Family on Father's Day Weekend

Each year on the Fathers Day Weekend, compliments of the BC Provincial Government, all Canadian adults as well as children can fish for free for 3 days. You do not have to carry a freshwater fishing license with you unless you are fishing for special fish such as the Shuswap Trout, or you happen to be fishing special classified waters where you must have a validation stamp where the license if free. This does not apply to fishing at Knouff Lake or one of the other local lakes.

This is a great way for everyone in the family to learn and enjoy the basics and thrill of sportfishing. You may want to spend more time outdoors, discover a new sport, or just be able to spend some quality time with family and friends. BC's Annual Family Fishing Event is perfect for anyone young or old who has ever wanted to try sportfishing, or simply spend time in BC's outdoor paradise.
